Yellow Deer

I didn't expect a made-in-Japan soft vinyl figure to feel this substantial in hand — the surface has a slight matte finish that photographs beautifully on a shelf. The retro charm is spot on, and it's clearly molded with more care than the cheap imports I've bought before.

The soft vinyl has a nice weight to it and the painted details on the face are really clean for something this small. Sitting on my desk next to my monitor, it's got that proper retro charm without feeling cheap.

Bought this on a whim and the little deer has been sitting on my desk ever since. The sofubi vinyl has a nice matte weight to it, and the paint on the antlers is clean with no sloppy edges. Feels like a genuine throwback piece from a 1960s toy shelf.
