Discover the new Kaitai Puzzle Fantasy Sanrio Characters Pop Mint Mix series. This guide explains the unique x-ray puzzle figures, case purchase options, and who should buy them.
Quick answer
The Kaitai Puzzle Fantasy Sanrio Characters Pop Mint Mix is a blind box series featuring four Sanrio characters (Cinnamoroll, Pompom Purin, Kuromi, My Melody) as x-ray style puzzles that assemble into figures. Purchase a full case of 4 to guarantee one of each design.
What makes this series different
Unlike standard blind box figures, the Kaitai Puzzle series uses PVC x-ray style pieces that you assemble into a complete character figure. Each figure stands about 2.17 inches (5.5 cm) tall. The puzzle aspect adds a hands-on element to collecting, but the pieces are small and require careful assembly.
Case purchase trade-offs
Buying a full case of 4 guarantees you get one of each character, which is ideal if you want the complete set without duplicates. However, if you only want one or two specific characters, a case may leave you with unwanted figures. Individual blind boxes are cheaper per unit if you're willing to gamble on your pull.
Decision rules for buying Kaitai Puzzle Sanrio
- Buy a full case if: You want the complete set of all four characters without duplicates. A case guarantees one of each design.
- Buy individual blind boxes if: You only want one or two specific characters or prefer to take a chance on a single pull. Individual boxes cost less upfront but risk duplicates.
- Choose this series over standard figures if: You enjoy a small assembly challenge and like the x-ray aesthetic. The puzzle aspect is unique but may frustrate those who prefer ready-to-display figures.
