Navigate the Spring Super Sofubi Show 2023 lineup with confidence. This guide helps you choose between Chompton Stoodios and Hanamusic sofubi figures based on size, style, and display goals.
Quick answer
For a compact, ultra-kawaii desk companion, choose the Spring mini by Chompton Stoodios. For a whimsical, slightly larger display piece with more visual detail, go with the Bug Racer Togemaru by Hanamusic.
Size and presence on a shelf
The Spring mini by Chompton Stoodios is a smaller figure, ideal for tight spaces or grouping with other mini sofubi. It won't dominate a shelf but adds a pop of playful color.
The Bug Racer Togemaru by Hanamusic measures approximately 4.5 x 2.6 x 5.5 inches, giving it a more substantial presence. It works well as a standalone focal point or as part of the Bug Racer series collection.
Kawaii style and character
Both figures embrace the kawaii aesthetic, but their character design differs. The Spring mini focuses on a simple, charming shape that feels like a classic sofubi mascot.
The Bug Racer Togemaru adds a whimsical, insect-inspired look with more sculpted details, making it a conversation piece for visitors who notice the artistry.
How to decide between these two sofubi
- Space available: If your display area is cramped or you collect multiple mini sofubi, the Spring mini fits easily. If you have room for a statement piece that stands out, the Bug Racer Togemaru offers more presence.
- Desired aesthetic: Prefer a pure, simple kawaii look? Choose the Spring mini. Want a more detailed, story-driven design with a playful theme? The Bug Racer Togemaru delivers that personality.
- Budget consideration: The Spring mini is priced at USD 22.05, while the Bug Racer Togemaru is USD 25.90. Both are discounted from a USD 35.00 comparison price, so either offers good value for a limited-edition sofubi. If budget is a primary concern, the Spring mini saves a few dollars without sacrificing quality.
